Kobbie Mainoo dreams of midfield partnership with Manchester United legend Paul Scholes

Manchester United’s rising star, Kobbie Mainoo, has expressed his desire to play alongside club legend Paul Scholes in his dream midfield partnership.

The English-born Ghanaian youngster has been making waves this season, with 17 league appearances and two goals to his name, including a memorable first senior goal at Old Trafford against Liverpool.

Mainoo’s admiration for Scholes, who played for Manchester United from 1994 to 2011, is evident. Scholes was renowned for his technical skills, accurate passing, intelligent movement, powerful shooting from long range, and goal-scoring ability. These are qualities that Mainoo seems to be emulating in his own game.

In an interview with club media, Mainoo said, “I’d say Paul Scholes. Although there might not be a lot [of] defending between the two of us! But, yeah, Scholes. Scholes – definitely. [Because of] everything,”

“His passing, his movement, the way he could finish. His intelligence. Yes, he was a great player,” Mainoo added

Kobbie Mainoo was born in Stockport, Greater Manchester, to parents from Ghana.
