FC Samartex 1996 have signed midfielder Meshack Adjetey Sowah from Ghana Premier League rivals Vision FC on a four-year deal as they continue preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.

The Ghanaian top-flight club confirmed the transfer during the ongoing window, making Adjetey Sowah the latest arrival at the Timber Giants.

Samartex announced the move in a statement on the club’s official channels, welcoming the midfielder and presenting his arrival as the start of a fresh stage in his career.

“Welcome to FC Samartex 1996, Meshack Adjetey Sowah! We are delighted to announce the signing of Meshack Adjetey Sowah from Vision FC on a four-year deal,” the club said.

“The talented midfielder joins the Timber Giants with a new chapter ahead.”

Adjetey Sowah joins Samartex as the club continues to shape its squad before the next Ghana Premier League season. His contract will keep him with the Timber Giants for four years, with the club securing his services from fellow top-flight side Vision FC.

The transfer is the latest piece of Samartex’s preparations for another campaign in Ghana’s premier division. The club will begin its build-up by taking part in the 2026 Nsenkyire Cup.

That competition will provide Samartex with their first action ahead of the new league season, before they turn their attention to the opening fixture of their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Timber Giants are scheduled to begin that league campaign against Karela United at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

Samartex’s announcement described Adjetey Sowah as a talented midfielder but did not provide further details about the player’s role within the team or the financial terms of the transfer.

The signing leaves the midfielder set to begin a new chapter with the club, while Samartex continue adding to their squad ahead of their upcoming domestic commitments. Their immediate focus will be the 2026 Nsenkyire Cup, followed by the start of the Ghana Premier League season against Karela United.
