Kocaelispor attacker Dan Agyei has reiterated his desire to represent Ghana at international level.
The 27-year-old forward says he remains hopeful that his long-standing interest in playing for the Black Stars will earn him a call-up.
Agyei, who qualifies through his Ghanaian roots, revealed he has been open to the opportunity since first engaging with Ghana football officials in 2018.
“It would be an honour to represent my country, Ghana. I’m a proud Ghanaian and grew up watching the Black Stars,” he told Sportsworldghana.com.
“Ever since I spoke with former management back in 2018, I’ve been open and ready to play. I’ve always been keen to contribute, and if the opportunity comes and I am called upon, I’d give everything for the shirt.”
The former Leyton Orient striker currently plays in Turkey, where he has scored four goals in 21 league matches this season.
He joined Kocaelispor in June 2025 on a two-year deal after declining a contract extension in England.
His statement comes as Ghana prepare for upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars will begin their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 before facing England and Croatia in Group L.
