United Arab Emirates and Ghana dual-national striker Jonas Naafo has joined United FC from Al-Ain Reserve, signing a deal with the UAE Pro League side until 30 June 2027.
The 20-year-old forward, born on 10 May 2006 and standing at 1.84m, moves across the Emirati game after progressing through the ranks at Al-Ain. His switch to United FC further strengthens the attacking options of a club competing domestically and in continental competition.
Naafo arrives having already experienced success in the UAE game. He was part of a title-winning setup in the 2025-26 campaign, when he earned a UAE championship medal with Al-Ain FC. That honour comes early in his senior career and provides a notable backdrop to his latest move.
Comfortable across the front line but primarily used through the middle, Naafo links up with a United FC side involved in the UAE Pro League, the UAE League Cup and the UAE President’s Cup, as well as Asian competition in the AFC Champions League and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. His contract runs through the 2026-27 season, giving the club security over his future at a key stage in his development.
Having left Al-Ain Reserve to sign for United FC on 21 July 2026, Naafo is now tied to the UAE Pro League club for the next campaign as he begins the latest chapter of his career.
