The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has settled all outstanding per diem payments owed to Ghana’s Black Princesses following their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Tunisia.
The allowances covered the period the team spent in camp for last year’s two-legged tie against the North African opposition.
Despite the delayed payments, the Black Princesses delivered on the pitch, securing a dominant 4-1 aggregate victory to progress in the qualifying campaign.
That success booked the team a place in the next round, where they are set to face South Africa.
With the decisive encounter now just weeks away, the Ministry has moved to clear the backlog to ensure a smoother build-up.
The timely intervention provides a morale boost for Charles Sampson’s side as preparations intensify for the crucial third-round fixtures.
The upcoming clash against South Africa is scheduled for next month and represents a key hurdle in Ghana’s quest for another World Cup appearance.
Officials are hopeful that resolving off-field issues early will allow the players to focus fully on the task ahead.
The Black Princesses will be aiming to maintain momentum as they continue their push toward qualification for the tournament.
