The Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee for Youth & Sports Ernest Henry Norgbey has announced that Sports Minister Kofi Adams will soon brief the media on the Black Stars’ budget for their recent World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
This comes amid public concern over the delay in revealing expenses for these matches, which President John Mahama had previously promised to make public.
The Stars secured impressive wins over Chad (5-0) and Madagascar (3-0) in March, boosting their position in Group I with 15 points.
They’re currently leading the group, three points ahead of Comoros.
“The Sports Minister is prepping to brief the media very soon on the Black Stars budget for the Chad and Madagascar games,” He told CitiSports.
“I am not sure there should be any cause for alarm.”
The Black Stars will be back into action in May for a 2025 Unity Cup competition facing Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Ghana will continue her World Cup qualifying campaign against Chad and Mali in September.
