Dreams FC, Abdul Karim Zito says their win over Asante Kotoko will serve as a huge booster ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup semifinal encounter against Egyptian side, Zamalek SC.
The “Still Believe Boys” deepened the woes of the Porcupine Warrior with a 2-0 win in the Matchday 26 games at the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday.
Karim Zito said: “It’s a big booster because if you look at matches before Africa we never won,” he told StarTimes after the game.
“So I think we want to change the trend and as I have been saying all the time, football gives you the opportunity to make amendments or to improve upon the previous games he added.
Sylvester Simba broke the deadlock for the home side before Derrick Agyei wrapped up the win with a brilliant strike.
Dreams FC sit 14th on the Premier League log with 31 points from 25 games with one outstanding.
Meanwhile, Karim Zito and his side will be hosted by Zamalek at the Cairo International Stadium this weekend in the first leg of the CAF Champions League.
