Quinn met with Kotoko board chairman Dr. K.K Sarpong, International Relations Officer Kwame Baah Nuako and Fifa match agent Justin Addo last week and has now confirmed KickOffGhana.com’s earlier reports that the club could be heading to Kumasi for a pre-season friendly in the summer. Quinn said: “We had a great meeting with the people from Kotoko. Very, very passionate people and enthusiastic and If it as good as they are telling us then we are going. They are very big club and they tell me they have 8 million fans and that is incredible. “I am sure Asamoah, Muntari and Johnny (Mensah) for them to go back will be something special to them. For us as a football club we will be honored to go and see the adulation that they have for us there”. If the game happens it will be the first visit by a premiership to Ghana and one that is bound to be a hit with Kotoko’s passionate fans.
Sunderland to Kumasi on the cards!
