Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara, has lauded Aduana FC for their impressive display, stating that the home side “played well” in their 2-0 win on Wednesday.
The Phobians fell to Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park in a midweek Ghana Premier League fixture.
Sam Adams opened the scoring in the first half, before Latif Abdel Bamba sealed the win for the Fire Boys.
In a post-match interview, the Ivorian gaffer did not hold back in assessing his team’s performance.
“Aduana played well, we didn’t play football today. We gave them all the chances to score us. Since the first half, we did not play well. We played very badly and accept that today, we were not good enough.”
“We did not run enough. We did not run. Because when you see the first goal, the second goal as well, the mistakes we made in conceding that corner kick and all these things, then you know we did not do enough. We did not run today at all and about that, I am not happy and I am going to tell them [the players],” he said.
Hearts of Oak have now dropped to 6th place on the Ghana Premier League table, with 41 points.
