Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito says a mounting injury problem is making preparations increasingly difficult, demanding exceptional mental resilience.
His comments followed the Porcupine Warriors’ 1-1 draw in Sunday’s Matchday 10 clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Despite remaining the league’s only unbeaten team this season, Zito admitted that persistent injuries are affecting his planning.
“Not losing and getting one point is better, but I’m not trying to find excuses,” he said.
“What I’m going through in this club is not easy. If you don’t have mental toughness, you can’t. Every day of the week, some player will get injured.”
Kotoko will host Young Apostles in a rescheduled league match today before facing FC Samartex at Nsenkyire Sports Complex in Matchday 11.
The team remains determined to maintain their unbeaten streak amid the mounting challenges.
