Ghana’s Black Queens midfielder Stella Nyamekye has joined Norwegian side Brann Kvinner on a contract until 2028.
The 20-year-old, who previously played for Gotham FC in the US, was acquired from Gotham FC for an undisclosed fee, pending clearance of her International Transfer Certificate.
Nyamekye, who has six caps and one goal for Ghana, expressed her excitement about joining Brann, citing the team’s ambitious project and opportunities for growth.
“I chose Brann because I believe in the project, and it will give me the best opportunity for my development and playing experience,” she said.
Brann’s sports director, Lars Johan Myklebust, praised Nyamekye’s skills, highlighting her ball control and strength in one-on-one situations.
Nyamekye will join Brann after Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Morocco.
