Ghana’s home-based squad, the Black Galaxies, are set to take on South Africa in an international friendly on December 16, 2025.
The match doubles as a sendoff for Bafana Bafana ahead of their participation in the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. South Africa will compete in Group B alongside Egypt, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
For the Black Galaxies, the game provides an opportunity to fine-tune preparations for their upcoming CHAN Qualifiers under Coach Kassim Mingle. The South Africans will also use the friendly to finalize their strategies before the continental tournament.
The Ghanaian team has been training rigorously at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, playing practice matches to build form and cohesion.
Coach Mingle has named a 20-man squad for the encounter, emphasizing the importance of testing combinations and boosting match fitness ahead of their qualifiers.
