Ghana U-20 team return from Uganda loss

The Ghana U-20 team have returned home following their 3-1 loss to Uganda in the African Youth Championship qualifier.

The Black Satellites led by their head coach Maxwell Konadu and other Ghana FA officials touched down at the Kotoka International Airport at around 11:40am local time.

The team was in high spirits despite their 3-1 loss to The Hippos in the first leg match played at the Nakivubo Stadium on Saturday.

Head coach of the side Maxwell Konadu insists his team is capable of overturning the tide though admitting the Ugandans are a good side.

“They (Uganda) are a very good team but are beatable,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“We will be working very hard to ensure we get the result against them here in the second leg.”

The Black Satellites are fighting to regain the spark that made them African and World champions in 2009.

The team have however failed to shine in recent times and are now in danger of missing out on the finals to be hosted in Algeria next year.
