Former Asante Kotoko winger Charles Taylor has urged the club to sack head coach Prosper Ogum in order to revive their fortunes in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

The club is currently embroiled in a crisis, with poor results on the pitch and reported internal problems. In their last six league games, Asante Kotoko has suffered five defeats and managed only one draw, leaving fans disgruntled and calling for Ogum’s dismissal.

Speaking on Onua TV’s Agoro Fie, Charles Taylor expressed his belief that the only way for Asante Kotoko to bounce back is by parting ways with Coach Ogum. “For Asante Kotoko to bounce back, they have to sack coach Prosper Ogum,” Taylor asserted.

The former winger’s comments come as fans and pundits alike continue to question Ogum’s ability to steer the club out of its current poor form.

Asante Kotoko’s recent form has seen them slip down the league table, and with pressure mounting, the club’s management may be forced to consider Taylor’s advice.

The upcoming fixtures will be crucial in determining Ogum’s future at the helm of the Ghanaian giants.
