Ghana’s Black Princesses have intensified their preparations in Poland as they work towards the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, with Head Coach Charles Sampson overseeing a two-hour training session involving all 18 players currently in camp.

The team is using its time in Poland to sharpen its readiness for the biennial tournament, where Ghana will begin its Group C campaign against Ecuador on 6 September 2026.

Sampson led the latest session with the complete group available, allowing the Black Princesses to continue their preparations with the full complement of players currently in camp. The training forms part of Ghana’s build-up as the squad works towards the opening game of a demanding group programme.

Ghana will face Ecuador first before meeting Korea Republic and France in their remaining Group C fixtures. The opening match against Ecuador on 6 September will mark the start of the Black Princesses’ campaign, followed by the other two group games against Korea Republic and France.

The squad’s preparations in Poland are focused on ensuring the players are ready for the challenges of the competition. With the tournament approaching, the team is continuing to sharpen its work on the training ground under Sampson’s direction.

The Black Princesses are aiming to make history at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Their immediate focus, however, is on using the current camp effectively and building towards the opening fixture against Ecuador.

The presence of all 18 players in camp provides Sampson with the complete group available for the latest two-hour session. That has enabled the coaching staff and players to maintain their preparation as Ghana progresses towards the tournament.

After Ecuador, Ghana’s remaining Group C assignments will come against Korea Republic and France. The three fixtures will determine the team’s progress in the competition and provide the Black Princesses with the opportunity to pursue their ambition of making history.

For now, the Ghana squad remains focused on its work in Poland. The training programme is designed to sharpen the team before the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup begins, with the opening match against Ecuador now established as the first major target of the campaign.
