Egypt will name their squad for their mission impossible return encounter against Ghana on November 14, according to reports in the Egyptian press.
American coach Bob Bradley is expected to ring changes in his team that suffered a humiliating 6-1 defeat in the first leg of the World Cup playoffs against the Black Stars.
One major change expected will be in the area of goalkeeping with Sherif Ekramy still struggling with the injury he picked up in the first leg defeat earlier this month in Kumasi.
Bradley is also expected to strengthen his defence in order not to concede excessively again especially if the game is permitted to take place before their home crowd in Cairo.
The Pharaohs technical team will be monitoring all of their players involved in crucial competitions before announcing their squad for the November 19 clash.
“American coach Bob Bradley hasn’t finalised his squad for the Ghana match yet. He is waiting to see how the players perform in the Egypt Cup and African Champions League finals. He is also monitoring international players,” Bradley’s assistant Diaa El-Sayed told Ahram Sport.
“Each match has its own challenges. We will ensure that we give an opportunity to those who are ready.â€
Egypt’s dream of reaching the most prestigious tournament after a 24-year absence has all but faded into thin air after losing 6-1 away in the first-leg on 15 October in Kumasi.
