Ghanaian coach Frimpong Manso emphasizes the crucial nature of the CAF Champions League encounter against Young Africans for Medeama SC, describing it as a “win at all costs” situation.
The Mauve and Yellow lads are set to face their Tanzanian opponents on Friday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Medeama SC urgently needs a victory to solidify their position in the group after defeating CR Belouizdad last Friday, with both teams currently sitting second in the group with three points each.
In contrast, Young Africans (Yanga) are seeking their first win in the CAF Champions League group stage, having lost to CR Belouizdad and drawn with Al Ahly SC in their first two games.
“They (Medeama) have won their first game and they come up against Yanga. When they win, they get 6 points and will resume their campaign with a trip to Yanga who will have one point at the time. So, for Medeama, it’s very important to get the win on Friday, which will help them so much”He told Kessben Sports.
The game is scheduled to kick off at exactly 4 pm.
