FC Barcelona are considering a move for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as their effort to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid becomes increasingly difficult.

Atletico Madrid are unwilling to sell Alvarez, prompting Barcelona to examine alternative attacking options ahead of the summer 2026 transfer window. The Catalan club have not yet made an offer for Martinez, who is 28, while Inter Milan are also reluctant to let the Argentina international leave.

Barcelona are additionally assessing Villarreal forwards Ayoze Perez and Georges Mikautadze. Perez, 33, is a Spain international, while Mikautadze, 25, represents Georgia.

The club are among a number of leading European sides working to strengthen their squads before the 2026/27 season.

Manchester City are also active in the market. The Premier League champions are in talks to sign Brazilian winger Allan Elias, 22, from Palmeiras, according to ESPN.

City have also asked about Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, but their approach for the 22-year-old England international has been rejected by the London club, reports say.

Arsenal are exploring a potential deal for Kenan Yıldız, with the 21-year-old Juventus and Turkey winger under consideration, according to the Independent.

Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, 25, is the subject of interest from Atletico Madrid, who are attempting to complete a deal for the Senegal striker, reports Marca.

Tottenham are looking at another Crystal Palace player, with France striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, 29, on their list of possible targets.

Inter Milan are interested in Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli, 25, of Brazil, according to Corriere dello Sport. Any approach would come as the Italian club consider attacking reinforcements of their own.

AC Milan are prioritising the signing of a centre-back. Manchester City and Portugal defender Ruben Dias, 29, has emerged as a possible candidate, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Several clubs are also tracking Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba. The 27-year-old Burkina Faso international is reported to be a leading defensive target for Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle.

Chelsea defender Axel Disasi is close to joining Crystal Palace on loan. The 28-year-old France international could move between the Premier League clubs, according to the Sun.

Liverpool, Everton and Leeds United are monitoring Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio. The Chile international is 22.

Chelsea striker Liam Delap is also attracting interest. Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs considering a move for the 23-year-old English forward, according to the Independent.

Manchester United are searching for a new left-back and have identified Jorge Salinas as one possible option. The 19-year-old Spaniard currently plays for Racing Santander.

United’s interest in a new player in that position comes as Newcastle remain reluctant to sell England left-back Lewis Hall, 21, according to CaughtOffside.

The wider material accompanying the transfer update also reported that Kurt Okraku rewarded Benjamin Asare with a brand-new car worth $38,000. It further said President Mahama had expanded mini-stadium projects from six to 10, according to the Sports Minister.
