Asante Kotoko writes to Ghana FA to postpone GPL matches until Ashantigold SC match is honored  –

Asante Kotoko SC has written to the Ghana Football Association to postpone all Premier League matches until its outstanding game between Ashantigold SC is honoured.

The Porcupine Warriors were expected to face The Miners on Thursday in week 29 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

The game was postponed at the last minute whilst the team had arrived in Obuasi to prepare ahead of the game.

The announcement came on Wednesday night, less than 24 hours to kickoff and both teams in camp, ready to face off in Obuasi.

This comes after AshantiGold were demoted to Division Two last season for their involvement in match manipulation.

The Ghana Police Service has raised an alarm over security threat should the game come off at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, forcing the game to be postponed by the Ghana FA.

Asante Kotoko  have asked the Ghana FA to postpone all matches in a statement released by the club to ensure sporting integrity.

The club is also demanding a refund for cost incurred.
