Asante Kotoko’s Richmond Lamptey has been included in the Black Stars 55-man squad along with ten other home-based players for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The midfielder has been the centre of attention with football personalities including CAF Media Officer, Sannie Daara, SWAG president, Kwabena Yeboah and former Hearts of Oak attacker, Charles Taylor have all called for his inclusion following his eye catching performances in the Ghana Premier League.
Richmond has been selected together with Medeama’s five players – Abdul Fatawu Hamid, Abdulai Nurudeen, Jonathan Sowah, Derrick Fordjour and Felix Kyei.
Dreams’ duo – John Antwi, Kingsley Godfred, Great Olympics’ Emmanuel Antwi and Benjamin Asare have all been selected.
Razak Sampson of Nations FC is also added to the fray.

Ghana coach Chris Hughton is expected to prune the list down to by January 3 for the continental event which begins on the 13th of next month.
