Accra Lions Technical Director, Ibrahim Tanko has disclosed that coaches will be unwilling to manage a Ghana Premier League club if poor officiating persist.
The Accra-based side’s four game winning streak at home was halted by Hearts of Oak on match week 26 of the Premier League on Friday.
Lions lost 3-0 to the Phobians and had to play most of the game with a man down. Rashid Abubakar was sent off in the 38th minute for a tackle on Hearts forward Kwadjo Obeng Jnr.
“We want to come and coach but if you see what is happening behind the scenes in the various stadia, I don’t think any serious guy would want to come and coach in Ghana if we don’t do our things well,” Ibrahim Tanko told TV3.
“I remember when we went to Eleven Wonders what we saw there was nothing to write home about. We hope that the FA will clean the system so that football will go up.”
Accra Lions are currently 11th on the league standings with 33 points. They will take on RTU on match week 27 of the Ghana Premier League.
