Amissah backs Bechem to breach Benjamin Asare in Hearts clash

Bechem United head coach Kobina Amissah believes his side can find a way past Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare ahead of their Matchday 21 encounter.

The Hunters travel to the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, February 1, aiming to halt Hearts’ momentum on home soil.

Previewing the contest, Amissah was full of admiration for Asare, acknowledging his quality and consistency between the posts.

Despite the praise, the Bechem United boss insists the Hearts shot-stopper is not invincible in league action.

“To be honest, Benjamin Asare is a very good goalkeeper who deserves all the praise. However, he has conceded some goals in the league, which shows it’s possible for us at Bechem United to score against him as well.

“That said, he is very strong and experienced in goal, and it would take a younger player with a mature mindset to beat him,” Amissah told Akoma FM.

Amissah stressed that his players are approaching the fixture with confidence rather than fear.

He added that Hearts’ pedigree is respected, but not enough to dampen Bechem’s ambition.

“While we respect Hearts of Oak, my players are very determined. Just as Hearts were able to pick a point in Bechem, we also aim to secure at least a point from the match at the University of Ghana Stadium,” he explained.
