The second edition of the Thomas Partey Tournament is set to take place from June 10 to 13, 2025, at the Tuba Astro Turf in Kasoa, Ghana, as Arsenal and Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey continues his mission to empower young footballers.
Aimed at discovering and nurturing talents aged 16 to 18, the four-day grassroots competition will feature 12 selected teams from regional qualifiers in Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale.
The participating sides include Kowa Naso, Desideros, Dansoman Wise, Adabraka Elders, Forsee United, Sporting, Namoro Academy, Downtown Youth, Field Masters Sporting Club, Winneba Youth Football Academy, Tamale Vision FC, and Princekala United.
“The idea is to give the kids the opportunity to get to where they want to be,” Partey told #3Sports, reflecting on his own journey from Krobo Odumase to the global stage.
Organized in partnership with the Thomas Partey Foundation and JJ SPORTS, the event will host group matches from June 10 to 12, with semi-finals and the grand final on June 13.
Scouts from top clubs across Ghana, Europe, and the U.S. are expected to attend, offering a rare chance for these young players to be scouted for professional careers.
Individual players without teams have also been invited to apply for trials, making the event inclusive and far-reaching.
Partey and his agent José Daniel Jiménez will be in attendance, further emphasizing the tournament’s importance to the development of Ghanaian football.
As the countdown continues, the tournament stands as a beacon of hope for young talents across the country.
