The alarm bells are ringing in Bechem.
Head coach Kobina Amissah has openly admitted that pressure is mounting on Bechem United as the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League enters its decisive final stretch.
After 24 matches, the Hunters sit 13th on the table with 30 points ; just three points above the relegation zone. With 10 games left, every point now feels like survival.
And Amissah is not hiding from reality.
“Of course, looking at the position that we find ourselves now, there is pressure in terms of moving from where we are to get to be among the top 10,” he admitted in a pre-match interview ahead of their Week 25 clash.
The experienced tactician revealed that the technical team is working overtime not just physically, but mentally to prepare the squad for the battle ahead.
“I think we are working very hard on the boys. Psychologically, we work on them. And today we will see different approach at our training. And before the match, we have to psyche them up.”
Bechem United face Nations FC on Friday, March 6 ; a fixture that could define their trajectory for the rest of the campaign.
Amissah also spoke about protecting their home record, insisting his side must dig deep to maintain their standards.
“We’ll focus and then psychologically, we prepare ourselves so that this record will not be the first time to be broken. We’ll make sure we work hard to sustain that record.”
