The midfielder who was for so long the first choice defensive anchor of the team has watched from the sidelines with Emmanuel Agyemang Badu doing a magnificent job so far in that position for Ghana.
He was named in the Ghana side despite having a hamstring injury and has failed to play a part in the ongoing tournament.
Now with the business end of the tournament here, Annan feels he is in the right physical condition to play.
“I was devastated when I recovered from a hamstring injury only to pick up another injury but I feel much better now and if the coach finds a need for my services, I will be able to play my part,” Annan told KickOffGhana.com.
