FC Samartex goalkeeper Zakari Musah has secured the Ex-Goalkeepers Union Goalkeeper of the Month award for January following an outstanding spell between the posts.

Musah rose above contenders including Osman Rahman of Dreams FC, Benjamin Asare of Hearts of Oak, and Benjamin Kwesi Asiedu of Bechem United to claim the honour.

The shot stopper was instrumental in Samartex’s strong performances during the month.

He helped his side record three victories and one draw in four league matches.

During that run, Musah kept clean sheets in all four games, underlining his importance to the team.

His consistency ensured Samartex went through January without conceding a goal.

The recognition comes as a reward for his commanding displays and sharp reflexes.

As part of the prize, he will receive items from the Ex-Goalkeepers Union, including a branded towel, water bottles and a T-shirt.

Samartex will now turn attention to a tough league assignment.

They are set to face league leaders Medeama in their next Ghana Premier League fixture.
