Hearts of Oak coach, Aboubakar Ouattara says they needed the win against Nations FC.
The Phobians recorded a 2-0 win against Nations FC in the Matchday 32 on Friday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Goals from Kassim Cisse and Hamza Issah in the 10th and 15th minutes respectively gave Hearts their 10th win of the 2023-2024 league season with two games left to conclude the campaign.
Speaking in a post-game presser after the win, Ouattara stressed the importance of winning the game stating,
“Just win. We got the three points that’s the important thing now we are thinking about the next match,” he told StarTimes.
“You saw the second half, we had problems with injuries and Nations FC played well but fortunately we got the two goals early and it’s good for us,” he added.
Hearts of Oak now sit 11th on the league log with 41 points after the win and will now clash with their city rivals, Great Olympics in the Matchday 33 games next weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.
