German-born Ghanaian forward Sirlord Calvin Conteh netted for SC Paderborn as they knocked out SV Werder in the DFB Pokal on penalties on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old put up an impressive display for his side and was one on the scoresheet in the 2-2 regular time stalemate before the game headed to penalty shootouts.
Felix Platte opened the scoring for Paderborn in the 22nd minute before Conteh dobled their lead in the 43rd minute after connecting a pass from Julian Justvan.
After the recess, the visitors rallied from two goals down to claim a draw with the goals coming from Leonardo Bittencourt and Mitchell Weiser in the 64th and 85th minutes respectively.
Conteh lasted for 63 minutes before being replace by another German-born Ghanaian forward Richmond Tachie.
Tachie scored the final penalty to send Paderborn through to the next round of the competition as they won 5-4 in the shootouts.
Conteh has made 14 appearances for Paderborn across all competitions this season, scoring three goals and registering one assist.
