Black Stars forward Christopher Antwi-Adjei scored his first goal in the Bundesliga this season as Bochum defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Antwi-Adjei put up an impressive display to help his side secure all three point at the Vonovia Ruhr Stadion.

The 28-year-old has now scored one goal and provided two assists in 10 appearances for Bochum in all competitions this season.

Bochum took an early lead in the 7th minute of the game through Antwi-Adjei before Philipp Hofmann doubled their advantage four minutes later.

After the recess, Borussia Monchengladbach halves the deficit in the 62nd minute courtesy of Alassane Plea strike.

Antwi-Adjei was replaced by Gerrit Holtmann in the 71st minute.

The winger was included in Ghana’s provisional 55-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar which will be whittled down to 26 players.

Black Stars have been drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

Ghana will take on Portugal in their first game on November 24 before playing South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.

Black Stars will play Switzerland in an International friendly on November 17, before travelling to Qatar for the World Cup.
