Hohoe United head coach Abdul Rahim Tijani says his side’s victory over Asante Kotoko was the direct result of unwavering effort and commitment.
The newly promoted club stunned the Porcupine Warriors 1-0 in their Week 13 clash, with William Oduro’s brilliant first-half free-kick proving decisive.
For Tijani, the win was not about luck but about preparation and desire, themes he repeated throughout his post-match remarks.
“First, we have to congratulate the boys. They did so well. All I want to say is hard work pays,” he emphasised.
He revealed that his team studied Kotoko’s recent performances closely and used that to shape their strategy.
“The game plan worked so well for us,” he added.
The victory has lifted Hohoe United to ninth place on the Ghana Premier League table.
Tijani and his squad now turn their attention to a Week 14 meeting with Berekum Chelsea.
