Sunderland have joined a long list of English Premier League clubs interested in signing versatile Ghanaian Jeffrey Schlupp during the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old has been consistently linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion but the bookies believe the Black Cats are also keen on his services.
The Black Cats have been listed at 6/1 with BetVictor to bring Schlupp to the Stadium of Light, while Hull City are behind them at 8/1.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis will test the resolve of Leicester City with another bid in January in an attempt to sign the versatile wideman.
Pulis is looking to freshen up his squad in the winter and has identified the Ghanaian as the missing link.
He will be hopeful of landing his man with a big pay-rise
Schlupp, who refused to extend his contract at the end of last season, is reported to be frustrated with his lack of regular playing time.
The versatile player made 24 league appearances for Leicester last season as they won the title.
