Headcoach of Sudan national team, James Kwesi Appiah, is optimistic about his side’s chances at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Sudan are drawn in a tough Group E alongside Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Equatorial Guinea, Appiah.
In an interview with Akoma FM, Appiah says the Falcons of Jediane are primed to face their opponents.
“Sudan, we are in Group E, and all the teams there are really good. For me, for you to participate in a competition, then your aim should be going out there to win the cup.
“If you’re afraid of any team, then why are you participating in the competition in the first place? I believe that Sudan will perform very well and I’m hopeful that any team that we meet, we will try our best to get a victory,” Appiah said.
The 2025 AFCON which will commence on Sunday, December 21, to Sunday, January 18, 2026.
