Ibrahim Tanko joins Medeama SC as new headcoach

Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have confirmed the appointment of Ibrahim Tanko as the club’s new head coach on a two-and-a-half year deal.

Tanko joined the Mauves and Yellow lads
after mutually parting ways with Accra Lions.

A statement from Medeama SC confirming Tanko’s appointment reads: “Medeama Sporting Club is pleased to confirm the appointment of Coach Ibrahim Tanko on a two-and- half year contract.”

The former Ghana International is one of the most exciting coaches and brings wealth of experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities and character to the club.

He previously served as an assistant coach of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions as well as Ghana’s Black Meteors and Black Galaxies.

Tanko will face off against Legon Cities in his first match for the club on Sunday, February 3, 2025, at the TnA Stadium.
