Sahel FC of Niger have turned their attention to Asante Kotoko captain Ndongani Samba O’Neil as they prepare to strengthen their squad ahead of the January transfer window.
The centre-back is entering the final stretch of his current deal, a situation that has sparked interest from several clubs.
Samba has grown into a key figure for the Porcupine Warriors since arriving from Rahimo FC in 2024.
Kotoko, aware of the external interest, have already begun moves to keep the Congolese defender at the club beyond 2026.
Out of Kotoko’s 11 league games, he has featured in nine and scored once.
He also played four matches in the CAF Confederation Cup, finding the net before Kotoko exited in the second preliminary round.
Sahel FC’s enquiry signals growing demand, but Kotoko remain determined to hold on to their captain.
