Ghana Premier League side, Asante Kotoko are pushing to be ready for the encounter against Hearts of Oak this weekend.
The Porcupine Warriors club since the start of the 2022/23 football season has not featured in any league match.
This is because of the team’s involvement in the CAF Champions League preliminary stage.
Unfortunately, the Kumasi-based club suffered elimination from the competition after losing to RC Kadiogo.
With the elimination from the CAF Champions League, Asante Kotoko are now turning its attention to the Ghana Premier League.
This weekend, the reds will play the first match of the league season in an encounter against eternal rivals Hearts of Oak.
Ahead of the first Super Clash, the reds have been training hard in training and stepped up preparations on Wednesday.
The team is also training this evening and will have multiple sessions on Friday and Saturday before the Hearts of Oak game on Sunday.
