Trainer of Angola national team, Pedro Goncalves has expressed optimism ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana on Thursday.
The Palancas Negras will take on Ghana’s Black Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium at 16:00 GMT on September 5.
The Portuguese gaffer admitted the Black Stars have seen drastic improvement under Otto Addo but his side is capable of securing a positive result.
“Otto Addo gives Ghana more flexibility in formation,” he told the press on Wednesday.
“They can play in a line of five in the back or play in the line of four.
“I think Ghana is stronger right now, but we are also much stronger,” he opined at the presser on Wednesday.
Ghana have lost one game in their last matches in all competitions including back-to-back wins in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers under the former Dortmund trainer.
