Former Accra Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson has called on supporters to rally behind head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.
Despite a challenging start to the 2024/25 season, Ouattara has managed to guide leading Hearts of Oak to 5th place on the league table with 37 points.
Speaking in an interview with Akoma FM, Nelson expressed confidence in the coach.
“I believe the coach is performing well, and we should give him more opportunities so he can deliver.”
“He is trying to give young players chances to play. Sometimes, it may not be what supporters expect, but he may have a different approach. That doesn’t mean he won’t accept ideas from others, including fans who watch the games.”
“I believe Accra Hearts of Oak will recover, and I am confident we will achieve something. The players must also motivate themselves. At the end of the day, this is their career, and performing well will benefit them.”
Hearts of Oak will face Nations FC on Wednesday, in a Week 24 Ghana Premier League fixture at Tuba Astro Park.
