Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, expressed disappointment after Black Stars’ game against Angola in their penultimate 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday.
The Black Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by Angola in a match day five of the qualifications campaign at the 11th November Stadium in Luanda.
The four times African champions needed a win to take the fight to the final day of the qualifiers, but the draw spelled the end of their campaign.
Reacting after the game Addo said, “They didn’t have anything to lose today, you could see. They could play freely, while we were a little bit more under pressure.
“They pressed us very well, held us down in our half, and it was difficult for us today. But we were missing our intensity, and I think it was not good enough from our side.”
The Black Stars are sitting bottom in Group F with just three points after playing five games.
They will face Niger on Monday at Accra Sports Stadium in the match day six of the qualifications campaign .
