Nordsjaelland and Ghana footballer Araphat Mohammed has suffered a serious knee injury that will keep him out of action indefinitely.
The 19-year-old sustained the cruciate ligament injury during a friendly match against AC Horsens, dealing a significant blow to his breakthrough season aspirations.
Araphat, who joined Nordsjælland in January 2024 from the Right to Dream Academy, has been impressive in his short stint with the club, earning five caps in the Danish Superliga.
His speed and agility on the wing has drawn comparisons to Ghanaian superstar Mohammed Kudus.
The injury is a major setback for Araphat, who was expected to play a key role in Nordsjælland’s upcoming season.
The club’s football director, Alexander Riget, expressed sadness over the incident and assured that Araphat will receive the best possible care to aid his recovery.
