Namibia and Legon Cities settles for draw in pre-AFCON friendly

Ghana Premier League outfit Legon Cities has shared the spoils with Namibia in a pre-AFCON friendly game as they prepare for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The South Africans are currently in Ghana preparing for the continental showpiece to be staged in Ivory Coast this month.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

Legon Cities shot into the lead after the break through Kwabena Boateng before the AFCON participants levelled in the final minute to share the spoils in their first friendly in Ghana.

The Brave Warriors will next face the national team of Ghana, the Black Stars, on January 8th before leaving for Ivory Coast.

Namibia are paired in Group E against neighbours South Africa, Mali and Tunisia.
