Lawrence Ati Zigi extends stay with FC St Gallen

Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi has signed a three-year contract extension with Swiss Super League side FC St. Gallen until the summer 2025.

He joined the Swiss side in January 2020 from French side Sochaux and has become their number one shot-stopper.

The club’s official statement reads “FC St.Gallen 1879 can plan with Lawrence Ati Zigi beyond the end of the season.”

“The club has prematurely extended the contract with its goalkeeper, which was valid until June 2023, by two years until the end of the 2024/25 season. The FCSG is thus able to keep one of its top performers with the club”

He has made 84 appearances for the Swiss side.

Ati-Zigi has been capped 7 times by Ghana and was part of the team that qualified for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
