Kotoko players, fans should be investigated over recent poor form – Ex-player George Kennedey

Former Asante Kotoko player George Kennedy has called for a full-scale investigation into the club’s recent poor form, including the investigation of players and fans.

He believes that the blame should not solely be placed on the head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, who is currently under significant pressure, suffering a recent 1-0 home defeat to Nations FC over the weekend.

Kotoko have lost all of their last four Ghana Premier League games and has dropped from third to ninth place.

Addressing the club’s recent challenges, George Kennedy asserts that everyone associated with the club should be subject to scrutiny.

“Instead of blaming a single person for all the issues, we should investigate every department, starting with the playing body and working our way down to the supporting base, legends, management, and finally the technical team,” he told Akoma FM.

“When something goes wrong, we usually assign blame to someone, especially since the coach is under a lot of pressure right now.”
