Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak will face either AS Douanes of Burkina Faso or AS Bomako of Mali in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup following Tuesday’s draw in Cairo, Egypt.
The Phobians will begin their African campaign from the second preliminary round after being exempted from the first round.
Douanes will tackle Bamako in a two-leg affair in September before the winner takes on the Ghanaian giants in the next stage.
The second preliminary round of the Confederation Cup is slated for October 2022.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak rivals Asante Kotoko have been paired in the first round of the preliminary against Burkina Faso champions Rail Club du Kadiogo.
