Zambia had hinted that a friendly match against Ghana was on the cards last week, but the GFA insisted they had not decided whether to honour the match. Now KickOffGhana.com understands that the Ghana Football Association have confirmed their interest in writing to match organisers against the Zambians, who are now bossed by former Ghana physical trainer Rene Herve. Both sides will use the game to prepare for impending World Cup qualifiers in September, with Ghana due to play Sudan at home, while Zambia travel to Algeria in a game that could go a long way in determining whether they can reach the 2010 showpiece. GFA president Kwesi Nyantekyie has already said that any friendly on August 12 will provide Milovan Rajevac with an opportunity to test some of the many players vying for a place in a Black Stars side that is increasingly beginning to pick itself.
