Ghana would be without a key player for the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
The Ghana FA released a photo of offensive midfielder Evelyn Badu wearing leg gear and being supported by crutches.
Badu is Ghana’s captain for the tournament and the injury means she will miss the competition which starts today.

Ghana will face the United States of America in the opening game of Group D.
Badu won a double at the recent CAF Awards after picking up the Champions League’s player of the Year as well as the Young Player of the Year award.
She is related to ex-Ghana international and Black Stars vice-captain Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.
