Gershon Koffie won his first silverware with New England Revolution after they beat Harrison Afful’s Columbus Crew 1-0 to win 2016 Desert Diamond Cup on Saturday night.

Midfielder Koffie, who joined from Whitecaps, played the entire duration.

Compatriot Afful lasted 62 minutes for Columbus Crew.

Bunbury opened the scoring for the Revolution in the 21st minute, polishing off his own rebound after Crew SC goalkeeper Steve Clark brushed aside his initial shot from the right side of the box.
