Charles Akonnor has admitted making mistakes during his days with the Ghana senior national team as the headcoach.
The former Black Stars captain was hired as Ghana coach in January 2019 but was sacked after 20 months, having lost four and drawn two in his last ten matches.
He was replaced by Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac who was also fired after a short spell in charge of the team including a disastrous AFCON camapaign.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Akonnor said, “I made mistakes. I’ve learned a lot from that area. If I get the chance again it would definitely be different in how I go about things,” he stated
Akonnor, who is unattached, has been linked with a return to Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko following the resignation of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
