Black Galaxies captain Gladson Awako has picked up a fresh injury in their opening day defeat to Madagascar in the 2022 African Nations Championship.
The midfielder was subbed off immediately after sustaining the injury in the second half and was replaced by Seidu Suraj.
The degree of damage is yet to be revealed but unlikely the Hearts attacker will start in Ghana’s next clash against Sudan in three days.
Madagascar put up a spirited performance to pull an upset as they beat Ghana 2-1 at the Stade Chahid-Hamlaoui in Constantine.
The Black Galaxies will be keen to make amends in their next encounter against Sudan on January 19.
