Despite Niger’s recent struggles, Ghana’s coach Otto Addo is bracing himself for a challenging encounter in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Ghana has been drawn into Group F alongside Sudan, Angola, and Niger, following the draw in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Thursday.
In an interview with Ghanafa.org, Addo acknowledged Niger’s poor form but remained cautious.
“They don’t have a good record in their last five, six, seven, eight matches. I think they won one, played some draws, and lost the other games. But what you can see is that when they lost, they just lost by a lone goal. So it’s going to be tough,” he added.
The qualifying campaign kicks off later this year in September.
Ghana will be looking forward to making their 26th appearance at the continental competition and securing their first trophy since 1982.
The main tournament is scheduled to kick off in Morocco from December 21st, 2025, to January 19th, 2026.
