The game has posed more huge questions over their preparations for the World Youth Championships in Egypt.
The Satellites collapsed in the second half of their meeting with the World Cup hosts in a five-nation tournament in Cairo, raising questions about the wisdom of making the trip in the first place.
With most regular members unable to travel because of club commitments in Ghana and Europe, the trip exposed the team’s poor preparations for a tournament that they claim they will impress in.
Now management committee chairman Jordan Anagla has told kickoffGhana.com they are hoping preparations will get better when the side travel to Switzerland on August 7 to play two games against the United Arab Emmirates.
“We hope for the first time that day we will have something close to our first choice squad out there,” he told kickoffGhana.com. “The problem with preparing for the world event is that the Uunder-20s are not covered by those Fifa rules that compel clubs to release players, even though in our case most of the players we rely on are first-team players at their club sides at home or in Europe, and that makes things a lot more difficult.”
